For as long as I can remember I've LOVED the look of finger waves! I just think its so dang cool looking, classic yet sassy, beautiful and artistic. I've tried many times to do finger waves and its just not my strongest ability. So this is my attempt on my little girls hair. All the directions I've seen say you really need to gel up wet hair. So I did that. Then they say to use a comb and make these motions and hold it with your fingers a certain way to make it a wave. It didn't work for me, so I used bobby pins to hold it in place, like this:
Here's what it looked like in the morning after I took out the pins:
I curled the ends to finish it off and added a bow:
a little more subtle than real finger waves but still cute:

Cakerating
I know this isn't the "best" cake you've ever seen, but I really do enjoy cake decorating! I did this for a lesson at church, and managed to snap a couple pictures before we left. It isn't my best work, but I still had fun and I thought it turned out cute. If you've never decorated a cake, go buy some Wilton supplies or ask someone who knows how, because truly its so much fun! Plus you just don't see a lot of hand decorated cakes anymore, everyone loves it!
